Nicky is a dinner lady and mum to two children at the school. Waterloo Road Castįamous for her role of Michelle Connor in the ITV soap Coronation Street Kym Marsh will be stepping into the role of Nicky Walters. The series will be set in Greater Manchester with filming already taking place and the show has been brought back to replace Holby City, which is being axed in March 2022. Three stars from the original show, Angela Griffin, Adam Thomas and Katie Griffiths, will be making a return as their previous characters.


There is no air date yet for the show but the BBC has been revealing the cast members with Coronation Street's Kym Marsh joining the show.

Many fans were heartbroken when the drama was axed and were delighted when the BBC announced that the show would be coming back. Making a comeback to BBC One is the popular school-based drama Waterloo Road that ran for nine years from 2006 to 2015.
